Comprehensive Autism Evaluations
Get answers. Gain clarity. Build a plan for what comes next.
At Sunflower Development Center, our comprehensive autism evaluations are designed to help families understand their child's unique strengths and developmental needs. We combine clinical expertise with evidence-based assessment tools to provide an accurate diagnosis, individualized recommendations, and a clear roadmap for treatment and support.
Whether you're concerned about communication, social interaction, play skills, or behavior, we're here to guide your family every step of the way.
When should my child be evaluated?
If you have concerns about your child's development, it's never too early to seek an evaluation.
Autism can often be identified as early as 18–24 months of age, although children of all ages can benefit from a comprehensive developmental assessment. Early identification allows children to begin intervention sooner, which can lead to meaningful improvements in communication, learning, social engagement, and daily living skills.
If you're wondering whether your child should be evaluated, we're happy to help determine if an assessment is appropriate.

Assessment Tools We May Use
Our clinicians utilize nationally recognized, evidence-based assessment tools, which may include:
• Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2)
• Childhood Autism Rating Scale, Second Edition (CARS-2)
• Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Third Edition (Vineland-3)
• Developmental history interviews
• Additional developmental and behavioral assessments as clinically indicated
The specific assessments used depend on your child's age, developmental level, and individual needs.
